It is a frabjous day when Capcom announces a CGI film of Resident Evil! While there has already been a non-game related CG movie, (Biohazard 4D Executor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLlu0WvLik0) this is the first one to be feature length. I always thought Resident Evil could use a good anime; good to see it's finally going to happen.

I Am Legend-The big bopper. When I first heard of this, I was like "aww, yeahh!", then it was revealed that the lead role would be played by the Fresh Prince, Mr. Wiccky Wiccky Wild Wild West Will Smith and I was greatly perturbed. The new teaser trailer lessened this feeling, but the film is still too much an unnecessary remake of The Omega Man and less an adaptation of the classic novel.

A response about accomplishments for the Academy of Art University. Contains some truths about my life.

I don't know if I have any events in my life that I'm proud of anymore. I've entertaining a crowded auditorium with on the spot improved humor, I've called out Dubya's first false presidency on public TV, I've remained free of drugs and alcohol, as well as being polite and behaved while so many youths act like garbage. And yet, I'm 23 years old with little hope of a future, so that kind of negates a lot of past accomplishments. I have a fantastic mind, able to examine and contemplate all the information in the world, free of xenophobia and bias, and I can't do anything with it. I've been unemployed for months and about the only jobs available around here are retail, which I can't even get. When you can't get near-minimum wage jobs, not much left available. As a cause/effect of this, I rarely leave the house that I share with my parents, brother and grandmother.

If there's any accomplishment I could say I've made recently, it'd be that I managed to write my way back into the Academy. Hopefully they won't kick me out for the second and final time before I can actually take an Illustration class. I've had to take so many garbage foundation classes-I just want to learn to draw well. I've read and analyzed theories, histories and artist's works for years on my own, I want to get to doing work of interest. Then I can be an unemployed failure who can draw. Maybe it'll get me chancellorship of Germany.

I could watch Evil Tobey dance all day. Too damn funny.

Today's Manga-Highschool of the Dead. Notable, at least, for being a zombie manga, an unfortunately rare occurence. It is enjoyable, though. Get it here: http://xamayon.org/ There is the great U.S. series The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman, but most zombie comics tend to be horrible American junk.

Game of the Post-World of Warcraft: Yes, Azeroth claims two more. My brother and I had tried a two week trial and enjoyed what we managed to play of it, considering trial accounts are rather limited in their interaction with other players, and we picked up the main game (only $20!) a few days ago. A lot of content for what amounts to a $5 dollar game, to put it lightly. Unfortunately, this means two more hero/villains are leaving the City of Heroes and Villains by the end of the month. Hopefully, we shall one day return.
